wat is mithila?

mithila is the place spreaded over northern part of bihar(india) & in southern part of nepal.in India it comprises of districts- madhubani,darbhanga,samastipur,sitamarhi and nepal janakpur ,dhanusha,virganj,viratnagar etc.
LANGUAGE:maithili is the common language for the people of this region but they also speak hindi and nepali.

geography:it is mainly plain but also have hilly landscape in the areas belonging to nepal

through this area many rivers flows namely :kamla, koshi,balan,gandak,budhi gandak,bhuthi balan(locally called) etc.
